Scott Cobb and Jen Torres

Nordis operates at the intersection of technology, production, and client operations. The people behind the systems and services play a critical role in ensuring the company delivers reliable customer communications management and payment solutions for its clients every day. Two team members who contribute significantly to this work are Scott Cobb and Jen Torres.

Scott Cobb, Vice President of Technology

As Vice President of Technology, Scott Cobb leads the teams responsible for the architecture, development, and stability of Nordis’ core customer communication management (CCM) platform, Expresso®. His focus is ensuring the technology that supports Nordis clients continues to evolve in ways that improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency across the business.

Scott brings extensive experience from large-scale software development organizations where he worked on complex enterprise systems and high-volume platforms. That background gives him a strong perspective on building resilient systems, managing engineering teams, and guiding technology organizations through periods of growth and modernization.

At Nordis, Scott works closely with development, infrastructure, and product teams to strengthen the platform’s performance, security, and development processes. His leadership emphasizes building quality and stability earlier in the development lifecycle, enabling teams to deliver improvements faster while maintaining strong standards for testing and security.

A key element of the Expresso platform is our unique Digital Communications Record™ (DCR), which powers how client communications are configured, processed, and delivered across channels. Through structured data, rules-based logic, and validation controls, DCRs allow Nordis to support high-volume communications while maintaining accuracy and compliance requirements.

Scott also encourages the responsible use of emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve development workflows and operational insight and automation. His approach focuses on practical adoption—helping teams identify where technology can improve efficiency and support better outcomes for both Nordis and its clients.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. He and his wife Kory have kids in college, high school, and elementary school. Much of his time revolves around his kids’ activities and sports, and he values maintaining an active lifestyle that balances the fast pace of technology leadership with time outdoors and with family. With an upcoming tournament in Las Vegas, it’s the perfect time to show his family the Nordis operations and our new facility there.

Jen Torres, Client Experience Manager

As a Client Experience Manager, Jen Torres works at the intersection of client operations, platform technology, and service delivery for Nordis. Her role centers on helping clients successfully implement and manage their customer communication programs through the Expresso® platform.

Jen supports multiple client accounts across industries, working with teams to ensure communications programs run efficiently and remain aligned with business requirements. This often includes coordinating between Nordis teams and client stakeholders to resolve operational challenges, optimize workflows, and implement program changes.

Much of Jen’s work involves helping clients transition processes into more streamlined, automated approaches within Expresso. This can include leveraging print-ready PDFs, expanding digital communication options like Email and Text, and reducing manual workflows while maintaining consistency across channels.

Because client organizations vary widely in structure and needs, Jen collaborates with stakeholders at many levels—from operational teams managing daily communications to leadership teams overseeing strategy and compliance. Her role requires a balance of problem solving, coordination, and practical implementation.

Jen has built her career in client-facing roles across industries including recruiting, mortgage, and insurance. She brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset to helping clients navigate change while maintaining the consistency and reliability required in communications programs.

Outside of Nordis, Jen leads an active life with her family, rescue dogs and husband of 20 years. Much of her time is spent supporting her kids’ activities and sports, as the household runs on seemingly endless practices and games to support both her 16-year-old daughter in martial arts and wrestling, and her 14-year-old with his travel basketball. Needless to say Jen demonstrates the perfect balance of organization and execution in both her roles.
